Stewart Taylor retired from Eaton Vance Management in January 2020 after a 40-year career in US fixed income with an emphasis on technical analysis and relative value investing. He joined Eaton Vance as the Senior Trader for the Investment Grade Fixed Income team in 2005. During his tenure, he was a portfolio manager for institutional separate accounts and mutual funds, managed the team’s inflation assets, and was the team’s strategist for duration, relative value, and economic positioning. From 1992 to 2005, he provided private investing and trading consultation to institutional buy side, broker-dealers, and hedge funds. Early in his career, he provided institutional fixed-income brokerage at Shearson Lehman, Prudential, and Refco. He has experience investing in and trading most domestic fixed-income, including MBS, corporate and municipal bonds, and consumer/commercial securitized products. His comments have appeared in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Bond Week, and Bloomberg News. He has given multiple presentations for the Mortgage Bankers Association of America, Bloomberg, the Market Technicians Association, and many others.

In semi-retirement, Stewart lives in Austin, Texas, where he offers freelance financial writing, including ghostwritten private label financial, investment, economic and technical commentary. In his spare time, he travels, fly fishes, treks, and focuses on his three grandchildren.
