Tom Bowley co-founded Invested Central in 2004 and served as the site's Chief Market Strategist for more than 10 years. Invested Central provides stock market education and guidance for those interested in making their own financial decisions. "I'm a short-term momentum trader. I rely primarily on price, volume, and the MACD to find shorter-term trading opportunities."

Tom's unique trading style combines both his fundamental and technical strategies to systematically manage risk while trading. He tries to simplify things by utilizing candlesticks, price/volume, MACD and RSI/stochastics to identify high-reward to low-risk trading opportunities. Tom has also spent countless hours studying historical trends of the major indices in the U.S., using seasonality to identify significant bullish and bearish trends throughout the calendar month and year. A regular contributor to StockCharts.com's bi-weekly ChartWatchers newsletter since 2006, Tom's role at StockCharts has expanded significantly since he joined the company as a full-time Senior Technical Analyst in March of 2015.

Prior to his career as a technical market analyst, Tom spent two decades in public accounting. He passed the CPA exam in 1984 and subsequently became a Principal at Stoy, Malone & Company, a prominent regional accounting firm in the Washington DC - Baltimore, MD metropolitan area. Tom chaired the firm's Accounting and Auditing Committee and was directly responsible for the audits of several large companies in the banking, manufacturing, retail and service industries.
